Responsibilities
- Design and implement device communication middleware for audio products and networking technologies.
- Develop high-performance, maintainable software for Windows, macOS, Linux, mobile, browser-based, cloud, and embedded environments.
- Implement device communication business logic using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Expose middleware functionality to consuming applications through GraphQL and web APIs.
- Research, model, and standardize device interactions through device-agnostic interfaces.
- Collaborate with developers, marketing, test, system engineering, and business partners on use cases, requirements, and application behavior.
- Enhance, modify, and maintain applications that consume the device communication middleware.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Proven experience as a Node.js backend developer with a strong focus on TypeScript.
- Proficiency designing and documenting web-based APIs for asynchronous systems.
- Understanding of operating system fundamentals, asynchronous programming, multithreading, reactive programming, software design principles, and software development practices.
- Experience with unit and integration testing, continuous integration, testing and deployment, and software version control systems, preferably Git.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Preferred experience authoring and consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs and working with distributed systems.
- Domain experience with audio products or wireless radio products is preferred.
- Additional preferred experience includes embedded device development, C++ using object-oriented or functional approaches, single-page application frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js, serverless cloud environments with AWS, and software development tools or IDEs.
