Base Salary

$79k - $163k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications software and related systems.
  • Write software test scripts and use software test automation tools or frameworks.
  • Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers.
  • Analyze system capabilities and resolve issues involving program intent, inputs, outputs, programming techniques, and controls.
  • Prepare operating instructions and ensure software standards are met.
  • Support the Sentinel Program in Roy, Utah, with travel up to 10% of the time.

Requirements

  • Software Engineer level requires a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience, or a master’s degree and 1 year of experience; 4 additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Principal Software Engineer level requires a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, a master’s degree and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 1 year of experience; 4 additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience in software testing, software development, and/or systems engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Java, C++, and Python.
  • Experience writing test scripts.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile development methodology.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years at application time.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program approval within a reasonable period.
  • Preferred qualifications include a STEM bachelor’s degree or higher, experience with IBM Rational DOORS and Jazz, Atlassian JIRA, Git, and Confluence, and experience with software test automation tools or frameworks.
