Responsibilities
- Design critical technology components and oversee implementation of new features with emphasis on code quality, automation, and testability.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to build customer-centric financial products.
- Design scalable, performant systems using cloud and on-premise technologies.
- Contribute to SDLC documentation, templates, patterns, controls, engineering standards, and software best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and system design reviews for distributed systems.
- Communicate with leadership, engineers, and business teams.
- Mentor and help develop junior technical talent.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, and Spring Boot is required.
- Experience designing and implementing low-latency, high-throughput, fault-tolerant distributed systems is required.
- Experience with microservices architecture and API development is required.
- Preferred qualifications include Java with an Rx* variant, Kafka or similar messaging technologies, the Spring framework family, distributed systems, low-latency services, NoSQL and relational databases, AWS, React or Angular, external-facing websites, client or user work, and Adobe Experience Manager.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills are required.
- The role requires comfort with Agile operating models and an energetic, self-directed, collaborative approach.
