Responsibilities
- Complete assigned software engineering tasks with minimal oversight.
- Design and develop C++ flight software using object-oriented principles in an embedded Linux environment.
- Integrate software with system baselines, interfaces, and network communications.
- Plan, estimate, and decompose software development work.
- Develop test plans and procedures for peer review and execute approved test procedures.
- Use established development tools, repositories, processes, and collaboration workflows.
- Communicate work status, accomplishments, and impediments in daily stand-up meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least two years of relevant software development experience, including two or more years using C/C++.
- Experience with object-oriented design and implementation.
- Experience with or familiarity with embedded Linux development.
- Experience with modern software development tools, including compilers, debuggers, and version control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with network communications and software interface development.
- Preferred qualifications include Agile software development knowledge, Python scripting for testing and automation, CI/CD pipeline experience, Linux shell and debugging tool experience, software verification and validation familiarity, and experience with AI-assisted development tools.
