Base Salary
$120k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to a small team of developers.
- Own technical direction and architecture decisions for custom software applications.
- Collaborate with team members and business partners to define project requirements and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain custom .NET C# applications for civil design software, with an emphasis on desktop development.
- Enhance existing software systems and improve functionality and user experience.
- Conduct code reviews and establish coding standards for quality and maintainability.
- Evaluate bugs and apply hot fixes to resolve issues.
- Drive Agile development practices and plan team workload to meet project deadlines and quality goals.
- Guide adoption of new development technologies and deliver software solutions from design through implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience, including prior experience leading or mentoring developers.
- Proficiency in .NET and C#, especially desktop development.
- Experience leading projects from design through delivery.
- Proficiency with Visual Studio, VS Code, Azure DevOps, and Git.
- Experience with SQL Server or Oracle, stored procedures, database tuning, and performance optimization.
- Experience with Blazor, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Python is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, leadership, team-building, and deadline-management skills.
- Proven ability to develop, debug, and implement software solutions that improve efficiency and productivity.
- Ability to learn new concepts and the basics of the civil engineering industry.
- Knowledge of Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or ESRI ArcGIS is preferred.
