Base Salary
$230k - $380k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust data pipeline tooling for frequent, low-friction data generation and annotation.
- Create cohesive data infrastructure supporting continuous parallel operation with model experimentation.
- Establish standardized processes for data validation, analysis, and improvement across training and evaluation data.
- Collaborate with ML modeling teams to align data capabilities with experimental needs.
- Maintain opinionated, well-documented solutions that become team standards.
- Develop systematic analysis frameworks to identify incoming data sources and benchmark coverage gaps.
- Own the cohesive vision of the tooling repositories and use data analysis to inform modeling decisions and experimentation.
Requirements
- Extremely strong software engineering skills.
- Strong statistical skills and experience evaluating scientific experiments related to data collection and model performance.
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and JAX.
- Ability to own complex technical projects from conception through deployment.
- Ability to make principled technical architecture decisions.
- Understanding of ML data requirements and the intersection of data engineering with modeling workflows.
- Interest in modelling safety and trust is a plus but is not required.
