Base Salary
$125k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX.
- Own the complete software engineering and product development lifecycle, including development, testing, and support.
- Act as the responsible engineer for multiple software products and provide strong technical leadership.
- Investigate faults in application and ERP suites and implement improvements.
- Understand internal users' problems and develop efficient solutions.
- Track application and feature usage and propose or implement improvements.
- Continuously improve quality control, product traceability, new product introduction, and vehicle reusability workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline, or at least two years of professional software-building experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least one year of full-stack development experience.
- Five or more years of web application development experience is preferred.
- Expertise in C#, .NET, SQL, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, TypeScript, Python, and PostgreSQL is preferred.
- Experience designing robust, scalable systems and flexible user interfaces is preferred.
- Experience with testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, continuous monitoring, web application scaling, and performance optimization is preferred.
- Experience developing software for manufacturing, production, or quality systems is preferred.
- Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed and travel up to 10%.
- Must satisfy SpaceX ITAR eligibility or obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
