Base Salary
$125k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX.
- Create applications that improve SpaceX operations.
- Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
- Own software engineering and product development across the full lifecycle.
- Investigate user problems and create efficient solutions.
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline, or 2+ years of professional software-building experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 1 year of full-stack development experience.
- Preferred experience with Python, C#/.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or a similar object-oriented language.
- Preferred experience building single-page web applications and using Angular, React, or a similar JavaScript framework.
- Preferred experience with software-system design, performance profiling, testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, monitoring, and package management.
- Preferred experience with UNIX-like systems, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Applicants must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required authorizations.

- Base salary range is $125,000-$195,000 annually depending on level and qualifications.
