Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable batch, near real-time, and real-time data pipelines for Find My services.
- Build GenAI-powered applications and agent-based tools for engineering, operations, and business partners.
- Develop RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector-search capabilities, semantic search, and agentic workflows.
- Take AI and data prototypes from proof of concept to production.
- Build privacy protections including data minimization, aggregation, anonymization, retention policies, and access controls.
- Partner with product, SRE, privacy, hardware, software, and other engineering teams.
- Contribute to design reviews, code reviews, data governance, lineage, quality checks, and observability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least five years in data engineering and applied AI/ML engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience designing and building end-to-end data pipelines at scale.
- Experience with Kafka, Spark, Flink, Iceberg, Snowflake, Cassandra, or PostgreSQL.
- Programming proficiency in Python and Java and advanced SQL skills, including dimensional data modeling.
- Experience building GenAI-powered applications and agents using RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search over structured and unstructured data.
- Experience with AI agents, agentic workflows, planning, memory, tool use, execution loops, or multi-agent systems is preferred.
- Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks is preferred.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud-native data platforms is preferred.
- Experience with privacy-preserving analytics, sensitive or personal data controls, data governance, lineage, data quality, and observability is preferred.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk is preferred.
- Experience shipping AI, ML, or GenAI proof-of-concepts to production is preferred; location, device telemetry, or IoT data experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
