Base Salary
$133k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Automate infrastructure scaling, monitoring, and operational processes.
- Build self-service tools and internal frameworks using Ruby on Rails and Go.
- Design, build, and support Chime’s cloud infrastructure using automation and infrastructure-as-code.
- Maintain Terraform modules and manage the Kubernetes Helm chart repository.
- Develop tools and processes that improve product security, scalability, stability, and availability.
- Support continuous deployments and partner with product development engineers on service design and delivery.
- Build strong working relationships with engineers, managers, and other colleagues.
Requirements
- More than 2 years of cloud and infrastructure experience.
- Strong development experience with Ruby on Rails and Go.
- Professional experience in a DevOps, SRE, or production engineering role supporting customer-facing web services.
- Experience with containers, container orchestration tools, and Kubernetes Helm charts.
- Experience building and managing highly available public cloud infrastructure and services.
- Experience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools, including Terraform modules.
- Experience supporting relational or NoSQL databases, message buses, caching services, and other common service components.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, testing, continuous deployment, monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
- Experience or familiarity with AWS services, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Datadog, and Terraform.
- Strong collaboration, communication, customer focus, and a positive attitude.
