Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain API gateway platforms and enterprise API management capabilities.
- Implement API security and governance controls, including authentication, authorization, API keys, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, mutual TLS, rate limiting, and throttling.
- Monitor API gateway availability, latency, throughput, utilization, and platform health; troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident response.
- Build infrastructure and deployment automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, alerting, and configuration management.
- Collaborate with application development, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, DevOps, security, and architecture teams on API integration solutions and platform modernization.
- Review API designs, contribute to architecture discussions, mentor junior engineers, maintain technical documentation, and improve API standards and developer experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 2–3+ years of experience in API management, middleware, integration engineering, platform engineering, or related disciplines.
- Hands-on experience administering enterprise API gateway platforms such as Kong, Apigee, Azure API Management, AWS API Gateway, IBM API Connect, MuleSoft, or WSO2.
- Strong experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, JSON, XML, and API security and identity management practices.
- Experience implementing OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, mutual TLS, and related API security controls.
- Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Preferred experience with Istio, Linkerd, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Cloud, Kubernetes, API management, integration, or security certifications are preferred.
