Base Salary
$120k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain embedded C firmware for motion control and motor drive products.
- Contribute to control-firmware architecture with emphasis on maintainability, testability, and real-time performance.
- Translate control algorithms into production-quality firmware alongside senior engineers.
- Participate in code reviews, static analysis, unit testing, and integration testing.
- Support firmware bring-up, debugging, and validation on hardware in the lab.
- Document firmware architecture, module interfaces, and design decisions.
- Assist with firmware verification test plans and execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of professional embedded firmware development experience related to motion control.
- Strong proficiency in C and understanding of modular firmware/software architecture, abstraction layers, and state machines.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers, interrupts, timers, and SPI, I2C, UART, and CAN communication protocols.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and collaborative software development workflows.
- Preferred qualifications include exposure to motor control, field-oriented control, PWM generation, sensing, motion-control loops, digital filters, RTOS platforms, model-based design, code generation, and embedded C testing frameworks.
