Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy AI agents in AI Foundry and Copilot Studio.
- Implement tool and function calling, multi-step planning, task decomposition, RAG, memory patterns, guardrails, structured outputs, approval loops, HITL, and escalation handling.
- Build and optimize RAG pipelines covering document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector search, reranking, grounding, citations, and source traceability.
- Integrate agents with APIs, databases, event-driven services, internal tools, and enterprise data sources.
- Create GenAI evaluation frameworks, automated tests, offline and online evaluations, and regression testing for prompts and agent tools.
- Implement observability for agent traces, tool-call logs, latency, cost, and failure modes.
- Address access control, secrets management, PII handling, model usage policies, auditability, governance, and change management.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into agent designs and measurable outcomes.
- Contribute reusable libraries, templates, and best practices for Foundry and Studio agent development.
Requirements
- Require 3–5 years of software engineering experience with Python, Java, TypeScript, or similar and production deployment experience.
- Require hands-on experience building, integrating, and deploying AI agents in AI Foundry and Copilot Studio.
- Require strong knowledge of LLMs, prompting patterns, system prompts, structured JSON outputs, function and tool calling, and safety patterns.
- Require solid experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases or search, chunking, reranking, and grounding techniques.
- Require experience integrating GenAI solutions with REST APIs, microservices, message queues, and databases.
- Require familiarity with unit and integration testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and documentation.
- Preferred experience includes LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen-style orchestration patterns.
- Preferred experience includes Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, or open-source model providers and deployment patterns.
- Preferred exposure includes data classification, audit logging, and model risk management.
- Preferred technical experience includes agent orchestration, multi-agent patterns, golden datasets, automated evaluations, human review loops, containerization, monitoring, and performance or cost optimization.
