Base Salary
$164k - $259k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive technical design and architectural decisions while mentoring engineers and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Lead multiple projects from technical direction through execution and support broader team initiatives.
- Build and maintain robust, low-latency APIs and backend services for Trust & Safety platforms.
- Serve as a domain expert in platform architecture and make technical decisions for maturing systems.
- Partner with data engineers, analysts, and product managers to deliver member protection features.
- Improve platform reliability and performance through system architecture, observability, and automation.
- Evolve experimentation, policy lifecycle, and ML integration capabilities.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to incidents outside regular working hours when necessary.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing software in a production environment at scale.
- Prior experience serving as a technical lead for a team and complex projects, including architectural decisions, execution coordination, and cross-functional alignment.
- Proven experience with Ruby on Rails or comparable frameworks.
- Experience with transactional databases and caching systems.
- Deep understanding of architectural patterns for large-scale web applications.
- Commitment to mentoring engineers and fostering team development.
- Appreciation for maintainable and well-tested code.
- Experience in fast-paced or early-stage environments is a strong plus.
