Base Salary
$180k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, scope, and build core platform systems and services from the ground up.
- Create reliable, observable, extensible, and self-service internal tools for product engineers.
- Improve scalability, performance, fault tolerance, production reliability, and developer productivity.
- Identify and drive new technical initiatives while mentoring junior engineers.
- Partner with engineering teams to design flexible solutions and support future use cases.
- Apply AI to build developer tools, internal workflows, and automated engineering processes.
- Monitor cloud applications, respond to incidents, and improve observability.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, including meaningful exposure to cloud infrastructure, platform systems, or developer-facing tools.
- Experience working across server-side languages and frameworks; Python and Django are used in practice.
- Experience monitoring cloud applications, responding to incidents, and improving production reliability and observability.
- Understanding of relational databases, transactions, distributed systems, and reliability tradeoffs.
- Ability to scope ambiguous work and independently drive complex projects while collaborating across the organization.
- Ability to communicate clearly, incorporate feedback, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Early-stage startup experience is a plus.
