Base Salary
$230k - $385k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship polished, high-performance user interfaces across the Codex desktop app and IDE extension.
- Partner with design to turn prototypes into production-quality layouts, motion, typography, and interactions.
- Develop interfaces for agent delegation, task timelines, status and progress, handoffs, review, and control surfaces.
- Own frontend architecture decisions involving component systems, state management, navigation, and rendering performance.
- Improve quality and reliability through testing, instrumentation, and UX for failure modes.
- Collaborate with platform, model, and backend partners to integrate capabilities into cohesive product flows.
Requirements
- Strong experience with modern frontend stacks, particularly React and TypeScript.
- High standards for UI craft and design engineering.
- Experience building desktop-caliber product experiences with Electron or a similar technology.
- Care about performance, responsiveness, and polished interaction quality.
- Ability to explore ambiguous problems, iterate rapidly, and think in end-to-end workflows.
- Experience with developer tools or IDE extensions is a nice-to-have.
