Base Salary
$110k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, implement, and maintain real-time embedded automotive diagnostic applications.
- Design and implement vehicle interface software and communication protocols.
- Reverse engineer vehicle communication protocols and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Maintain project schedules and development documentation and support global product releases.
- Collaborate with global OBD engineering staff and Applications engineers on vehicle-specific software solutions.
- Assist with application validation and testing.
- Analyze and compare competitive scan tools and handheld diagnostic platforms with Snap-on products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related listed equivalent discipline (BSCS, BSEE, or BSSE).
- At least 3 years of relevant firmware development experience.
- Fluency in C and C++.
- Experience developing real-time embedded systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous automotive, OBD, or scan-tool diagnostic software development experience is preferred.
- ST Micro embedded systems and ARM microprocessor development experience are preferred.
- Windows and Ethernet development experience is a plus.
