Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and deploy resilient services aligned with business and functional requirements.
  • Develop Java services using reactive, non-blocking, and streaming patterns.
  • Implement microservices and event-driven integrations for real-time distribution workloads.
  • Evolve domain-driven design practices and service boundaries with engineering partners.
  • Run scalable services on Kubernetes and apply caching technologies such as Redis.
  • Support performance testing, resilience validation, code reviews, test-driven development, and behavior-driven development.
  • Contribute to technical direction and communicate progress, trade-offs, and risks with senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
  • Use AI-assisted SDLC tooling while maintaining engineering controls, code quality, and security standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands-on proficiency in Java and experience delivering production-quality code.
  • Experience building distributed systems that process high volumes of data with real-time delivery needs.
  • Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern delivery practices.
  • Working knowledge of microservices, service-oriented design, event-driven architectures, messaging patterns, and relational and non-relational databases.
  • Experience with streaming or messaging technologies such as Kafka or IBM MQ.
  • Experience with caching technologies such as Redis, GemFire, or Apache Ignite.
  • Experience working in agile teams with strong testing, review, and operational-readiness practices.
  • Preferred experience with Spring, AWS workloads, trading systems, market structure, trading floors, quantitative or trading domains, FIX, and troubleshooting mission-critical production issues.
