Responsibilities
- Partner with client stakeholders and technology leaders to discover objectives, pain points, KPIs, users, and operating constraints.
- Lead discovery sessions, functional workshops, architecture reviews, demonstrations, prototypes, and proof-of-concepts.
- Translate ambiguous business problems into use cases, user stories, technical designs, delivery plans, and measurable success criteria.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications, data applications, APIs, microservices, and workflow solutions on Azure.
- Build backend services and, where needed, user interfaces using Python, React, or Angular.
- Integrate applications with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure services, REST APIs, enterprise platforms, and third-party systems.
- Design and build batch, streaming, and event-driven data pipelines and implement lakehouse, data lake, and cloud data warehouse patterns.
- Develop ETL/ELT workflows, ingestion frameworks, business-ready datasets, dimensional models, metadata management, lineage, access controls, and data quality controls.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, release controls, and environment promotion using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Terraform.
- Own software development lifecycle activities, production support, stabilization, root-cause analysis, documentation, runbooks, cross-training, and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- Master's or bachelor's degree in engineering, data science, information technology, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience spanning client engagement, functional consulting, application development, data engineering, solution architecture, and production readiness.
- Experience building backend services, enterprise applications, APIs, microservices, workflow solutions, and user interfaces.
- Experience designing scalable batch, streaming, and event-driven pipelines and optimizing Spark, PySpark, SQL, and Snowflake workloads.
- Experience with cloud-native architecture, secure software development, automated testing, observability, performance engineering, and production support.
- Experience implementing CI/CD, infrastructure as code, release controls, and environment promotion.
- P&C Insurance domain experience is preferred.
