Base Salary
$200k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write feature specifications covering requirements and detailed design.
- Implement features and improvements individually or collaboratively.
- Triage and resolve internal and customer-reported issues.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party libraries.
- Review feature specifications, code, test plans, and other engineering documents.
- Improve the performance and scalability of existing features and solutions.
- Lead a team implementing features and improvements.
- Mentor and help onboard new hires.
- Work with customers and product teams to understand requirements.
- Plan, schedule, track, and report project status through customer delivery.
- Drive engineering-wide initiatives for quality and scaling of shipped products and technologies.
- Participate in architecture and design of new engineering initiatives.
- Consider filing patents for product innovations.
- Participate in technical industry engagements, including papers, blogs, talks, and standards delivery.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent degree.
- 15+ years of relevant hands-on development experience.
- Ability to write high-quality C, C++, Go, and Python code.
- Expertise using AI tools for development, review, and building shareable tools.
- Experience with Linux OS internals, kernels, and memory management.
- Experience with TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, IPSEC, TLS, or MACsec.
- Experience with high availability and ISSU.
- Experience with containers, virtual machines, Kubernetes, Docker, or KVM.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
- Proficiency with Terraform and Helm.
- Prior experience at a startup or venture-backed company is a plus.
