Base Salary
$157k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and direction to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
- Drive adoption, governance, and measurable validation standards for AI-assisted engineering practices across teams.
- Use software development lifecycle tools, AI-assisted development capabilities, and automation to improve engineering outcomes at scale.
- Influence product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
- Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and advocate for firmwide software development lifecycle frameworks, tools, and practices.
- Coach senior engineers and leads on compliant, secure, and responsible AI-assisted engineering usage.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Experience delivering secure, production-quality code in Python or Java.
- Strong foundations in distributed systems, microservices, and platform architecture and design principles.
- Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, test acceleration, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Ability to independently solve design and functionality problems with little to no oversight.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
- Preferred: understanding of statistical models such as regression and XGBoost and their applications.
- Preferred: understanding of GenAI concepts, agentic systems, and their use in reliability or SRE environments.
- Preferred: familiarity with Python, Spark, Airflow, cloud platforms, AWS, and relevant certifications.
