Responsibilities
- Lead moderately large or complex projects and ensure successful application rollouts.
- Develop recommended architectural approaches and document current systems.
- Serve as a technical architecture expert for software development and infrastructure teams.
- Estimate architecture design effort and develop, review, and approve architecture designs.
- Advise project teams on standards, methodologies, and best practices.
- Communicate and validate architecture with technology and business executive stakeholders.
- Develop solutions to complex problems and critical design issues using broad technical knowledge.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related coding-focused technical field, or equivalent job experience.
- At least 5 years of overall relevant experience, including at least 3 years developing or administering software in the public cloud.
- Experience monitoring infrastructure and application uptime, availability, functionality, and performance.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Bash, Java, Go, Perl, JavaScript, and Node.js.
- Cross-functional knowledge of systems, storage, networking, security, and databases.
- Experience with multiple open-source software frameworks and microservice implementation styles.
- Experience with message-driven application development, publish-subscribe systems, Kafka, and event-driven microservices.
- Proficiency with continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling and practices.
- Knowledge of cloud-native AWS and GCP services, DevSecOps principles, enterprise architecture frameworks, design patterns, and architecture documentation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written communication, verbal communication, and technical presentation skills.
- Cloud certification is strongly preferred.
