Base Salary
$129k - $129k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain software components and applications for Audible’s audiobook platform.
- Identify and resolve software defects through code review, log analysis, metrics examination, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Write maintainable and scalable code as part of an agile engineering team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to envision, design, develop, test, and launch customer-centric software.
- Apply computer science, engineering, and analysis principles to solve moderate-scale problems.
- Improve testability, operational excellence, documentation, and management of owned software components.
- Handle data classification, storage, and management in accordance with company policies.
- Participate in interviews and provide mentorship to fellow engineers.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have experience with at least one modern or general-purpose programming language, such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript, including object-oriented design where applicable.
- Have experience with data structure implementation, basic algorithm development, and/or object-oriented design principles.
- Be currently enrolled in or have completed a bachelor’s or graduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, data science, information systems, or a related STEM field.
- Preferred qualifications include technical internship or demonstrated project experience.
- Preferred qualifications include optimization mathematics, distributed and multi-tiered systems, algorithms, relational databases, SQL and NoSQL database systems, and cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Preferred qualifications include AI tools for development productivity, open-source contributions, and version control systems.
- Demonstrate the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly, basic software development lifecycle understanding, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Starting base pay is $129,000 annually.
