Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain enterprise cloud cost allocation, governance, automated remediation, and optimization systems.
- Implement cost estimation, budget controls, and policy-as-code validation in CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Infracost, OPA, Sentinel, and Checkov.
- Develop internal tools, microservices, and event-driven automation for resource teardown, right-sizing, anomaly detection, and tagging compliance.
- Design Kubernetes cost allocation, bin-packing, autoscaling, and container cost visibility strategies.
- Build billing-data pipelines and analytical models using SQL and cloud billing datasets aligned with FOCUS.
- Manage Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, Committed Use Discounts, Spot workloads, and preemptible workloads.
- Create telemetry connecting infrastructure consumption to metrics such as cost per transaction, tenant, and API call.
- Lead cost architecture reviews, provide optimization recommendations, and mentor DevOps, SRE, and software engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or cloud infrastructure architecture in high-scale enterprise environments.
- 3+ years of dedicated experience implementing FinOps practices, cloud economic modeling, and automated cloud cost optimization.
- Advanced hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including multi-account structures, networking, IAM, and enterprise billing APIs.
- Deep production experience with Terraform, OpenTofu, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, Go, Bash, or TypeScript for automation, CLI tools, and API integrations.
- Experience integrating automated checks, linters, and policy-as-code into CI/CD ecosystems such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or Jenkins.
- Production experience with Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, or GKE and container cost tools such as Kubecost, OpenCost, or Karpenter.
- Experience with cloud rate optimization instruments, discount modeling, and enterprise commitment management.
- Strong SQL querying and data-modeling skills involving large-scale AWS, Azure, or GCP billing datasets.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred FinOps certifications include FinOps Certified Practitioner and FinOps Certified Professional.
- Preferred cloud certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Expert, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect.
- Preferred experience includes billing-data pipelines using dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks and third-party platforms such as CloudZero, Vantage, Datadog Cloud Cost Management, or Kubecost.
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices design, storage-tiering optimization, measurable cost reductions, and unit-economic frameworks is preferred.
