Base Salary
$97k - $162k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop backend services and REST APIs for mission-critical geospatial solutions.
- Build enterprise system integrations, including ArcGIS Enterprise integrations.
- Develop data ingestion, processing, geoprocessing, and GIS automation workflows.
- Work with cloud and containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Design secure software architectures and service-based systems.
- Support reliability, testing, monitoring, logging, and observability for distributed services.
- Help Defense and Intelligence customers solve complex technical problems.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional backend software engineering experience.
- Professional experience developing backend services with Python, JavaScript/Node.js, and Java.
- Experience designing and building REST APIs and service-based architectures.
- Experience extending or integrating with ArcGIS Enterprise or similar enterprise geospatial platforms.
- Familiarity with geoprocessing workflows, proxies, middleware services, and GIS or data-processing automation.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerized environments.
- Strong fundamentals in API design, software and system design, testing, and debugging distributed services.
- US citizenship and an active or current-within-two-years Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, Esri certification, CompTIA Security+ certification, Azure/AWS/GCP experience, monitoring and observability tools, DevSecOps practices, ArcGIS Enterprise SDKs, geospatial services, enterprise authentication, and relational or spatial databases.
