Senior Estimation and Tracking Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design and develop production software for real-time tracking and sensor fusion.
- Conduct data analysis and performance evaluation to validate and improve tracking capabilities.
- Contribute to requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and documentation across the software development lifecycle.
- Stay current with tracking and fusion technology and write clear, maintainable code.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
Requirements
- Proficiency in production-grade C++ or Rust software development.
- Strong knowledge of linear algebra, multivariable calculus, probability, and stochastic processes.
- Experience with probabilistic inference and Bayesian likelihood estimation.
- Familiarity with state-estimation and tracking methods including Kalman Filter, EKF, and Particle Filter.
- Ability to communicate effectively and break large problems into actionable parts.
- Eligibility to obtain and hold a U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred experience includes processing Radar, Electro-Optical, RF, or LIDAR sensor measurements; sensor characterization and modeling; multi-target prediction and tracking; performance metrics and system analysis; camera and sensor calibration; nonlinear optimization frameworks; unmanned systems; Docker, CircleCI, and Linux.
- A preferred MS or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Applied Math, Physics, or a related field.
