Base Salary
$177k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and design end-to-end software solutions for high-volume Securities Finance applications.
- Build and deliver enterprise applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, and messaging systems.
- Analyze complex financial business processes and translate requirements into application designs spanning upstream, downstream, and partner dependencies.
- Define and enforce engineering standards across design, coding, testing, debugging, and production implementation.
- Mentor engineers and analysts, allocate work, and build team capability.
- Partner with business leaders, end users, compliance, and data stakeholders to develop regulatory-compliant system designs.
- Identify, manage, and escalate technical and operational risks while maintaining system and control integrity.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of hands-on software engineering experience delivering complex application systems in financial services.
- Deep proficiency in Core Java, Java EE, PL/SQL, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Unix scripting, and enterprise service architecture.
- Experience with microservice architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and MQ Series.
- Proficiency with Oracle and MSSQL relational databases, complex SQL queries, data profiling, and data mapping tools.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, Devin, or Claude.
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams, manage cross-functional delivery, and communicate technical decisions to senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with regulatory data requirements, data governance, and financial services compliance.
- Knowledge of Custody, Funds, or Securities Finance and front-, middle-, and back-office operations is beneficial.
- Familiarity with securities master data and market data is beneficial.
- A Master's degree in a relevant technical or quantitative discipline is beneficial.
