Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks from scratch or by extending existing frameworks.
- Define and uphold test quality standards and contribute to test strategy for products and services.
- Write maintainable integration and end-to-end tests, reusable utilities, mocks, and simulators.
- Drive automated contract, smoke, regression, end-to-end, API, and cross-service testing.
- Test front-end, back-end, APIs, and distributed microservices using modern testing tools.
- Perform and organize performance testing.
- Integrate automated testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines and maintain healthy, relevant test suites.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and delivery stakeholders to embed quality early in the SDLC.
- Investigate defects and production issues, support manual QA, and validate fixes through automation.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in test automation.
- Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks and API testing tools.
- Confident programming in TypeScript.
- Expertise designing and executing end-to-end test strategies.
- Experience embedding quality early in the SDLC and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience prioritizing and resolving defects in agile continuous delivery teams.
- Computer Science or Information Technology degree, diploma, or similar qualification is desirable.
- CSTAE or ASTQB ISTQB Advanced Certification is desirable.
- Certified Automation Tester certification, such as Cypress or Playwright, is desirable.
- Familiarity with Kafka, AWS EventBridge, AWS Step Functions, queues, streams, and SnapLogic is desirable.
