Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, test, debug, and implement complex software enhancements and solutions.
- Design enterprise application architectures and platform-based solutions and deliver complex platforms into production.
- Develop software using Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript, and related programming languages.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create sustainable solutions for complex business problems.
- Provide technical leadership and critical analysis during architecture discussions and code reviews.
- Develop automated tests, conduct manual testing, and improve development and test methodologies.
- Create written design, API, and customer documentation.
- Troubleshoot large, mission-critical client implementations.
- Participate in the Agile development process, including standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Plan and coordinate cross-team activities and resolve advanced software technical issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign education equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another technical field is required; a master’s degree is strongly preferred.
- At least 9 years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience is required.
- Experience with Spring Boot, microservices, and service deployment in cloud environments.
- Experience with cloud-native services, microservice architectures, Kubernetes, Kafka, message-based systems, and relational databases.
- Authoritative experience with object-oriented programming, compiler or interpreter technologies, embedded systems, operating systems, scripting, and advanced programming languages.
- Experience with Snowflake is an asset; Postgres SQL and Azure experience are preferred.
- Ideally, at least 5 years of financial-services experience developing portfolio management, trading, compliance, post-trade, IBOR, or wealth management solutions.
- At least 3 years of experience working with an Agile development methodology.
- Ability to solve complex problems involving multi-tiered, high-performance database applications and design simple software solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with peers.
