Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications supporting investment and wealth management processes.
- Design and implement solutions using RPG or COBOL 400 on the AS400 platform.
- Work with AS400/DB2 environments to maintain application functionality.
- Support investment advisory capabilities for different client segments.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into application solutions.
- Perform application development, testing, debugging, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with business analysts, functional teams, QA teams, and technology stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews and follow development and quality standards.
- Support production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Contribute to improvements in application development and delivery processes.
- Work within an Agile development environment.
Requirements
- Requires 3–5 years of relevant software development experience.
- Hands-on experience with RPG or COBOL 400 is required.
- Strong knowledge of the AS400 (IBM i) platform and experience with DB2 databases are required.
- Understanding of investment and wealth management systems or processes is required.
- Knowledge of investment advisory services and solutions for different client segments is required.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, debugging, and production support is required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are required.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools is preferred.
- Experience in banking, wealth management, investment management, or financial services is preferred.
- Exposure to Agile development methodologies and familiarity with CI/CD and automated software delivery practices are preferred.
