Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize database solutions across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects.
- Build and support ETL/ELT pipelines using DBT, Snowpipe, and COPY INTO.
- Develop and maintain relational, dimensional, star, and snowflake data models.
- Manage and optimize Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Databricks, and AWS database environments.
- Implement data integration through APIs, SFTP, and batch processing.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and profiling to ensure data quality.
- Monitor database and pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
- Implement database security controls, roles, RBAC, and access management.
- Maintain version control with Git and GitHub and support Jira-based Agile project delivery.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience with SQL and database development.
- Hands-on Snowflake experience and experience with at least one of SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Databricks.
- Experience designing data models and data warehouse solutions.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks and data transformation techniques.
- Experience with AWS cloud services and data platforms.
- Understanding of database security, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and Jira.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
