Responsibilities
- Own medium-complexity features end to end, including network device configuration modules and monitoring dashboards
- Develop integrations with network equipment vendors’ APIs and management protocols
- Create interactive charts, graphs, and network topology visualizations for real-time monitoring
- Optimize application performance for network telemetry data and real-time updates
- Collaborate with backend teams to design APIs for network device management
- Contribute to mobile applications used by field technicians for network device configuration
- Develop automation scripts and tools for network device provisioning and bulk configuration
- Debug and resolve customer-reported network management workflow issues
- Provide guidance and code reviews for Engineer II team members
- Research networking technologies and evaluate their integration into the platform
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related technical field
- 4–6 years of software development experience with increasing responsibility
- Experience with React.js or Angular, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks
- Experience with Node.js, Python, or Java, including API development and database integration
- Basic understanding of SNMP, SSH, and HTTP-based device management protocols
- Experience with relational and time-series databases
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP services, particularly networking and compute services
- Understanding of WebSocket, Server-Sent Events, or similar real-time technologies
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development practices
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes
- Understanding of network devices, monitoring concepts, network topologies, and enterprise network management workflows
- Some exposure to networking concepts or infrastructure software is preferred
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
