Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable two-way integrations between Rippling and ERP systems.
- Ship medium-to-large features end to end, including requirements gathering, architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and iteration.
- Collaborate with Product, UX, internal platform teams, and external partners on technical solutions.
- Define and enforce best practices for code quality, testing, observability, and performance.
- Provide production support, debug integration failures, respond to incidents, and implement root-cause fixes.
- Improve integration frameworks and abstractions across multiple ERP platforms.
- Own roadmap initiatives, propose architectural enhancements, and influence the team’s technical vision.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design and code reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping backend or full-stack systems end to end.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and reliability at scale.
- Proficiency in one or more of Python, Go, Java, or Node.js, with hands-on RESTful or gRPC API experience.
- Deep experience building integrations or middleware, ideally for ERP or financial systems.
- Database experience with relational and NoSQL stores, including schema design and efficient queries.
- Production troubleshooting experience involving incidents, logs, metrics, and root-cause remediation.
- Strong product mindset, communication, collaboration, and ability to work with ambiguous requirements.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar frameworks, codebases, infrastructure tools, and domain concepts autonomously.
- Preferred experience with NetSuite SuiteTalk, QuickBooks API, Dynamics OData, Oracle integrations, or accounting workflows such as journal entries, reconciliations, and book closure.
