Base Salary

$108k - $195k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with mission stakeholders, analysts, data scientists, and engineers to translate operational needs into AI/ML solutions.
  • Design and develop AI capabilities for knowledge extraction, information discovery, summarization, decision support, workflow automation, and structured or unstructured data analysis.
  • Develop and optimize AI/ML applications in Python using supervised, unsupervised, semi-supervised, and deep-learning techniques.
  • Build LLM applications, RAG architectures, vector-search and knowledge-retrieval systems, and agentic AI workflows.
  • Create data pipelines for preprocessing, feature extraction, validation, deduplication, labeling, and augmentation.
  • Optimize and evaluate models through selection, fine-tuning, hyperparameter tuning, benchmarking, and latency-versus-accuracy analysis.
  • Support AI capabilities through deployment, monitoring, security, evaluation, and sustainment across their lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science plus 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Strong proficiency with Python and demonstrated experience designing or developing AI/ML solutions.
  • Understanding of the complete AI lifecycle from data ingestion and model development through deployment, monitoring, and sustainment.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph required.
  • Knowledge of Large Language Models, Generative AI, tokenization, embeddings, attention concepts, prompt engineering, context management, and LLM interfaces is desirable.
  • Experience with RAG, vector search, knowledge retrieval systems, machine-learning fundamentals, model training and validation, performance metrics, experimentation, and AI-system evaluation is desirable.
  • Knowledge of customer corporate tools, data repositories, and secure mission-computing environments is desirable.
