Responsibilities
- Lead complex multi-system application development projects and drive collaboration across teams and departments.
- Design, develop, maintain, improve, and extend enterprise business applications and integrations.
- Develop and support integrations between Oracle eBusiness Suite, ERP applications, and other systems.
- Use Java, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, Oracle Workflow, and Oracle public APIs in program development.
- Provide technical input to solution plans, concept documents, design reviews, project definitions, feature analyses, and system tradeoffs.
- Develop and implement unit and system testing processes.
- Research emerging technologies and evaluate their feasibility for team and functional objectives.
- Collaborate with Garmin IT Analysts and users to assess system-wide design impacts.
- Mentor less experienced IT Software Engineers.
- Provide reliable solutions to complex problems and understand the business impact of IT-owned solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience designing, enhancing, and developing complex multi-system applications.
- Experience successfully implementing technology solutions.
- Programming experience with Java, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, Oracle Workflow, and Oracle public APIs.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle 11i or R12 applications.
- Experience with version control systems such as Subversion or Git.
- Ability to learn and understand secure coding practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively to drive projects to effective and timely completion.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include outstanding academics, team-environment experience, and experience with Oracle ERP modules including OFL and Warehouse.
