Base Salary
$107k - $198k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical aspects of assigned systems/software engineering projects, including peer reviews and resolution of difficult technical issues.
- Coordinate system-level requirements with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Develop subsystem architectures, block diagrams, functional allocations, interfaces, timing diagrams, specifications, and traceable documentation.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain safety-critical, cybersecure software for embedded controllers and graphical interfaces.
- Generate system and subsystem test plans and support validation, qualification, customer reviews, and design decisions.
- Support task estimation, project planning, proposals, schedules, budgets, risk mitigation, and trade-off analysis.
- Develop and improve systems engineering design, validation, and qualification processes.
- Provide technical supervision, training, and mentoring to lower-level engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience, or a master’s degree and at least 4 years of experience, in systems, computer, electrical, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of systems engineering experience with lifecycle processes and standards.
- At least 2 years of experience writing, modeling, and verifying system requirements.
- At least 2 years of C programming experience and familiarity with Assembly.
- At least 2 years of experience writing systems and software test procedures.
- At least 1 year of experience with embedded software systems and at least 1 year reading PCB designs.
- At least 2 years of experience translating customer requirements into technical requirements and product solutions.
- At least 1 year of experience with systems engineering processes such as MIL-STD-499, EIA-632, IEEE 1220, or ISO 15288.
- Experience writing and presenting technical documents to internal and external customers.
- Preferred qualifications include an active Secret clearance, embedded processor experience, high-power electrical device experience, PCB development, test utilities, SDLC oversight, configuration management, and Atlassian tool administration.
