Base Salary
$114k - $306k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive cross-group platform initiatives involving identity, configuration, API gateway standards, interoperability, and client library governance.
- Define architectural guardrails, security controls, reference implementations, compatibility policies, and deprecation strategies.
- Establish shared observability frameworks, rollout policies, SLOs, capacity models, and reliability improvements.
- Design and write foundational software, lead architecture and code reviews, and resolve highly complex API, distributed-systems, and product issues.
- Lead testing, quality assurance, monitoring, logging, maintenance, patching, automation, and service availability improvements.
- Provide expert technical guidance to customers and internal stakeholders and lead issue mitigation and product enhancement efforts.
- Mentor engineers and peers, coach teams, influence cross-functional leaders, and lead strategic technical initiatives.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in software architecture, platform engineering, distributed systems, API design and integration, scalability, reliability, observability, and secure software development.
- Experience leading complex, cross-group software initiatives and serving as a technical authority or escalation point for ambiguous, high-impact problems.
- Ability to define architectural standards, API versioning and lifecycle strategies, security controls, compatibility approaches, and performance optimization plans.
- Strong experience with software design, coding, debugging, testing, monitoring, maintenance, and system availability practices.
- Ability to provide technical guidance, mentor engineers, collaborate with customers and stakeholders, and influence organizational decisions.
- Experience contributing to technology research, industry practices, thought leadership, hiring decisions, and talent development.
