Base Salary
$80k - $87k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, enhance, and develop HR web and client-server applications.
- Develop and optimize HR websites, queries, scripts, macros, views, and reports.
- Gather user requirements and create application designs, prototypes, functional specifications, and code.
- Use SQL, PL/SQL, web-based methodologies, and reporting tools across multiple database environments.
- Create documentation, operating procedures, quality-assurance documentation, and test plans.
- Participate in code and high-level design reviews and follow requirements, architecture, coding, and testing practices.
- Coordinate application development and maintenance projects with OHR, OIT, production support, help desk, QA, vendors, and other departments.
- Diagnose software and hardware issues, support upgrades or application repurposing, and propose solutions to application inefficiencies.
- Help establish technical standards and maintain development frameworks and code libraries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science, management information systems, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience with human resources systems, including configuration, customization, and preferably web/SQL development and HR-system interfacing.
- 2–3 years of programming experience with HTML, ASP, JavaScript, XML, MS Access, SQL, PL/SQL, or similar products.
- 2–3 years of experience with HR reporting tools or data-warehouse technologies such as EiS, Report Writer, Cognos, OBIEE, or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of web and client-server architecture, web services, stored procedures, SQL queries, scheduled jobs, Microsoft tools, and application or network architecture.
- Knowledge of PeopleAdmin, testing software, VB, MS Access coding, network administration, Active Directory, desktop services, hardware and software configuration, and LAN/WAN support is preferred or beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a knowledge-sharing environment and communicate effectively with management, administrative staff, technical staff, vendors, and users.
- Ability to document code and processes, solve practical problems, interpret instructions, and deliver work on time.
