Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using C# and .NET.
- Create and consume secure APIs for communication between backend services and frontend or mobile applications.
- Design, query, and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Build new features, optimize existing systems, and make architectural decisions for the platform.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and produce maintainable production-ready code.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams on CI/CD pipelines, AWS deployments, and environment management.
- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.
- Use AI coding assistants responsibly while evaluating generated code for quality and security.
Requirements
- 4+ years of backend development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
- Strong proficiency in .NET, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, C#, and backend API development.
- Hands-on AWS experience with EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFront, SQS, and API Gateway.
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK for infrastructure as code.
- Some experience with React and frontend JavaScript component libraries.
- Understanding of database design, Docker, orchestration, OAuth, JWT, microservices, distributed systems, Git, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.
- Experience mentoring junior developers and building and scaling production applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and responsible use of AI tools.
- Preferred experience with TypeScript, event-driven architectures, message queues, Redis, CDN technologies, OpenAI API, Claude API, or AWS Bedrock.
