Responsibilities
- Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve application environments in partnership with development teams.
- Improve uptime, application performance, incident resolution, operational SLAs, and overall site reliability.
- Build automation and tools for infrastructure provisioning, deployments, scaling, process standardization, and operational efficiency.
- Design and implement software-defined infrastructure using cloud standards and methodologies.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and build and deployment automation with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
- Monitor and resolve application, deployment, security, and runtime issues while keeping stakeholders informed.
- Collaborate with IT, cloud, information security, product cybersecurity, and product engineering teams.
- Act as a point of contact for global stakeholders and front-office delivery teams.
- Champion initiatives that improve operational processes and maximize systems availability.
- Experiment with cloud technologies and define appropriate use cases.
- Automate and manage MS SQL database configuration and scripts.
- Define strategies for performance, load, and security testing and implement those strategies.
Requirements
- A BE, BTech, MTech, MCA, or MSc in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in software application development.
- More than 5 years of hands-on DevOps implementation experience.
- Hands-on experience maintaining environments with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Services, Azure Front Door, Azure App Insights, Key Vaults, Managed Identities, and App Registrations.
- Strong experience with GitHub Actions/workflows, Azure DevOps, Terraform, and SonarQube.
- Proficiency with SQL, PowerShell, YAML, Python, and Unix shell scripting.
- Experience with distributed computing systems, cloud infrastructure, analytics, continuous health monitoring, and deployment troubleshooting.
- Strong experience with MS SQL database configuration and script automation.
- Working knowledge of application architectures, design patterns, web deployment technologies, .NET, Java, and Python application dependencies.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, risk assessment, and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development and DevOps tools such as Claude and GitHub Copilot.
- Knowledge of AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Linux, Windows, and Unix administration is desirable.
- Experience with polyglot enterprise, web, API, mobile, or cloud development; software design patterns; hardware or home automation integrations; BlackDuck; and DevOps implementation for mobile apps is desirable.
