Responsibilities
- Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve application environments in partnership with development teams.
- Build automation and tools to standardize, accelerate, and streamline operational processes.
- Implement infrastructure, build, scaling, and project automation using software-defined infrastructure and cloud standards.
- Manage Azure environments, CI/CD pipelines, source control workflows, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Improve site reliability, application performance, uptime, incident resolution time, and operational SLAs.
- Monitor deployment environments continuously, investigate issues, and communicate with stakeholders until resolution.
- Collaborate with IT, cloud, information security, product cybersecurity, and product engineering teams on application and security issues.
- Support cloud architecture implementations and develop knowledge of Allegion business systems and procedures.
- Lead operational improvement initiatives, resolve complex cross-functional problems, and evaluate new cloud technologies.
- Define strategies for performance, load, and security testing and implement the resulting tests.
- Troubleshoot build, deployment, and runtime issues in .NET, Java, and Python applications.
- Act as a point of contact for global stakeholders and Front Office Delivery teams.
Requirements
- BE/BTech/M Tech/MCA/MSc in Computer Science Engineering.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in software application development.
- More than 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps implementation.
- Hands-on experience maintaining environments with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Services, Azure Front Door, Azure App Insights, Key Vaults, Managed Identities, and App Registrations.
- Strong experience setting up CI/CD pipelines and build and deployment automation with GitHub Actions/workflows and Azure DevOps.
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with SonarQube.
- Proficiency in SQL, PowerShell, YAML, Python, and Unix shell scripting.
- Experience with distributed computing systems or cloud infrastructure, especially Azure.
- Experience with analytics, continuous health monitoring, and troubleshooting of deployment environments.
- Strong experience with MS SQL database configuration and script automation.
- Knowledge of DevOps and cloud concepts, metrics, application architectures, design patterns, and web deployment technologies.
- Working knowledge of .NET, Java, and Python application code and dependencies.
- Experience or familiarity with GitHub Enterprise, Git, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
- Ability to solve complex problems across multiple systems, debug effectively, assess risk, make decisions, and work urgently.
- Desired qualifications include Linux, Windows, and Unix administration experience; polyglot enterprise, web, or API development; Swift, Java, C#, and cloud experience; software design patterns; hardware or home automation integrations; databases and SQL; Black Duck; and DevOps implementation for mobile apps.
- Familiarity with non-Azure platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development and DevOps tools such as Claude and GitHub Copilot.
