Responsibilities
- Build a reliable, scalable crawl platform and unified data foundation for CommerceIQ product lines.
- Design and operate distributed systems, scalable services, monitoring, workflow orchestration, and developer experience capabilities.
- Define technical strategy and collaborate with managers on team priorities and roadmap direction.
- Lead high-impact projects involving ambiguous problem statements and scalable solution delivery.
- Own system design and architecture with attention to reliability, observability, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor and lead engineers while fostering technical excellence and high-quality execution.
- Coordinate stakeholders and team members to align on technical decisions.
- Review designs, documents, and pull requests and participate in coding and technical deep dives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience leading small to medium-sized teams.
- Expertise in scalable distributed systems and strong problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with observability, developer experience, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of AWS, Spark, databases, streaming, containers, and Kubernetes is advantageous.
- Experience with data-intensive applications and ETL/ELT is a plus.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, break down complex problems, drive solutions, and work independently and collaboratively.
