Senior Software Engineer
Toast, Inc.Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain resilient and scalable features across Toast’s enterprise management products.
- Lead complex projects that improve product functionality, reliability, and customer outcomes.
- Build automated tests and monitor feature rollouts for quality and success.
- Collaborate with engineering, UX, and product management teams on feature definition and design.
- Mentor and coach other engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building backend services and APIs.
- Extensive experience with an object-oriented language such as Java or Kotlin.
- Deep understanding of testing, quality, engineering best practices, production services, platform stability, and reliability.
- Experience building backend services and APIs and scaling distributed systems.
- Experience building Android applications with Kotlin is a plus.
- Ability to deliver positive customer impact and communicate effectively across teams on complex technical topics.
