Responsibilities
- Lead deep technical initiatives that increase consumer reach and employee engagement.
- Design scalable solutions while anticipating future needs and evaluating tradeoffs.
- Participate in architectural discussions and influence the technical roadmap.
- Collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams to develop robust full-stack applications.
- Champion engineering excellence and raise quality standards across the team and company.
- Use AI tools to improve development velocity and help shape new engineering approaches.
Requirements
- 8+ years of backend experience with Java, Kotlin, or other object-oriented languages.
- Proficiency with modern API design using TypeScript, REST, and GraphQL.
- Experience with relational databases or alternative data stores such as PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
- Ability to design high-level technical solutions while remaining hands-on with code execution and system performance.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to drive cross-team alignment across engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
- Track record of building partnerships across engineering, product, customer success, and other stakeholder groups.
- Experience maintaining a high quality bar for team deliverables.
- Strong customer empathy and commitment to thoughtful user experiences, robust technical solutions, and continuous product improvement.
