Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Red Hat OpenShift clusters and Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Support internal developers and operations staff in transitioning legacy software development and deployment workflows to the DevOps platform.
- Operate and support GCP services including GKE and Anthos, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, service-mesh technologies, and monitoring systems.
- Provide on-call support, systems debugging, and infrastructure operations across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Create processes, procedures, and SOP documentation and drive assigned tasks through completion.
Requirements
- In-depth experience building and maintaining Red Hat OpenShift clusters; merely using OpenShift is insufficient.
- Experience with Kubernetes, GCP services including GKE and Anthos, GitLab and GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and service-mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
- Experience with programming or scripting, Linux or UNIX environments, systems debugging, TCP/IP, process documentation, and customer support.
- Preferred experience includes Linux systems administration, automated CI servers such as TeamCity or GitLab, scripting in Bash, Ruby, Python, Go, Java, Scala, Rust, C++, or Perl, and configuration management with Puppet, Ansible, Chef, bcfg2, or cfengine.
- Preferred familiarity with Git, monitoring and alerting technologies, GitOps tools, Google Anthos, Docker, network storage, AWS, GCP, Azure, and distributed systems design.
- Understanding of Linux internals, Linux network configuration, containerization, automated CI/CD pipelines, and cloud computing environments.
- Strong communication, teamwork, ownership, judgment, integrity, and ability to work with users of varying IT knowledge.
