Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable secure REST APIs and backend services in .NET Core.
- Architect data models and optimize schemas, transactions, and queries in MySQL for a multi-tenant platform.
- Build and maintain event-driven services using Apache Kafka for real-time data synchronization.
- Lead the technical implementation of core features including cross-club access, retail workflows, and global integrations.
- Use AI coding tools while reviewing and owning the quality, maintainability, security, and architecture of shipped code.
- Expand automated test coverage across backend services to support stable, regression-free releases.
- Review code, resolve complex backend problems, and establish clean and maintainable engineering standards.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of backend engineering experience, ideally in a SaaS product.
- Deep hands-on expertise in C# and .NET Core.
- Production experience using AI coding assistants and the ability to review and refactor AI-generated code.
- Strong relational database skills including schema design, transactions, and query optimization in MySQL.
- Experience building multi-tenant systems and using event-streaming platforms such as Kafka.
- Demonstrated experience building secure, well-versioned APIs and resolving complex business logic.
- Familiarity with Docker, container registries, and standard CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
- Experience in fitness, club management, or membership software is preferred.
- Exposure to backend APIs connecting with Flutter and Angular front ends is preferred.
