Base Salary
$121k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with management teams to integrate functions, identify system enhancements, and deliver new products and process improvements.
- Resolve high-impact application and business-process problems through complex analysis and develop innovative solutions.
- Design, build, test, debug, and implement applications in accordance with enterprise architecture standards.
- Evaluate and build proofs of concept, research emerging technologies, and convert successful initiatives into enterprise solutions.
- Provide post-release assistance and operational guidance to business, development, and support teams.
- Coach mid-level DevOps professionals and analysts and allocate work as needed.
- Support observability, CI/CD, cloud and on-premises deployment, security scanning, troubleshooting, and infrastructure operations.
- Manage and maintain operational components including load balancers, proxies, web servers, queues, and caches.
- Assess and escalate technology, compliance, and control risks while protecting the firm, clients, and assets.
- Collaborate with traders, financial controllers, risk managers, business users, and global teams across time zones.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience with Agile and DevOps practices covering Application Lifecycle Management, Software Configuration Management, and Test Environment Management.
- At least 5 years of DevOps experience in Linux/Unix and Windows environments, including command-line and Bash scripting and common-service administration.
- Advanced application programming and design experience with Java, Python, shell scripting, object-oriented programming, microservices, and container-based architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD for cloud and on-premises environments and with container orchestration and deployment tools.
- Experience with observability frameworks and tools including ELK, AppD, Splunk, Prometheus, Jaeger, and Grafana.
- Experience with build, security scanning, artifact repository, and collaboration tools including Maven, Ant, SonarQube, BlackDuck, CyberArk, CodeStation, Confluence, Artifactory, and Nexus.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, infrastructure as code, and security for cloud-based infrastructure.
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, operational judgment, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Demonstrated success designing and delivering multi-tiered applications.
- Strong academic record, ideally with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related technical or quantitative discipline.
- Understanding of financial derivatives, particularly rates or similar products, is preferred or candidates should be willing to learn the area.
