Responsibilities
- Architect and develop next-generation desktop software for Logitech peripherals using modern C++.
- Own architectural decisions and technical solutions across Mac and Windows platforms.
- Lead engineering initiatives for mice, keyboards, presenters, webcams, and related input peripherals.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, guide technical discussions, and support professional growth.
- Oversee feature design, implementation, maintenance, performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Design and align robust software-firmware interfaces and firmware update integration strategies.
- Lead technical reviews, establish reusable-code and shared-library standards, and uphold architectural quality.
- Collaborate with product management, firmware, QA, design, and other business units.
- Guide Scrum processes, resolve technical challenges, and unblock team progress.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive software development experience, including recent technical leadership, architecture, or team lead experience.
- Proven experience designing and developing desktop applications for Mac and Windows.
- Expert-level C/C++ and object-oriented programming skills, including strong command of C++14/17.
- Experience applying software design patterns, architectural principles, and coding best practices to large-scale projects.
- Deep expertise in unit testing, quality initiatives, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Commercial experience developing software that interacts with hardware devices, especially through HID protocols and MacOS compatibility.
- Hands-on experience architecting and managing firmware update processes and integration strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience leading technical reviews and cross-team collaboration.
- Ability to guide team members, delegate responsibilities, and establish shared code ownership and continuous improvement practices.
- B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent industry experience with demonstrated technical leadership.
- Higher education such as M.E., M.Tech, or MS and professional certifications or ongoing learning are desirable.
