Responsibilities
- Design and implement user-facing features for critical web properties at scale.
- Own technical design and execution from architecture discussions through production debugging.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and Backend Engineering on scalable frontend systems.
- Lead adoption of code health, testing, and design standards within the project area.
- Improve application performance, efficiency, and reliability while addressing technical debt.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on engineering practices, system design, and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- Seven years of professional software engineering experience focused on large-scale, high-traffic web applications.
- Proficiency with a modern web framework or language such as JavaScript, React, VueJS, or Angular, plus HTML and CSS.
- Knowledge of fundamental algorithms and data structures, including hash tables, trees, stacks, queues, linked lists, DFS, and BFS.
- Understanding of modern web application architecture, design patterns, performance, and scalability.
- Advanced written and verbal English communication skills for collaboration with globally distributed teams.
- Preferred experience leading complex cross-functional projects with multiple dependencies.
- Preferred familiarity with backend systems such as Go, Python, or TypeScript.
- Preferred experience across the full project lifecycle, from ideation and stakeholder engagement through production monitoring.
