Base Salary
$150k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop data-path solutions for L2 and L3 networking technologies, including IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, SR/SRv6, VRF, L3VPN, STP, LLDP, sFlow, LAG, and MLAG.
- Architect and implement QoS features such as queueing, classification, policing, shaping, ACL, ECN, and WRED.
- Work with BCM XGS and BF Tofino ASIC families and develop software using BCM SDK, P4, and DPDK.
- Optimize Linux networking internals, including memory management, the network stack, and hardware abstraction layers.
- Develop and maintain high-availability solutions, ISSU, and Linux-based networking systems.
- Perform Debian packaging, Linux kernel modifications, and kernel networking stack optimization.
- Develop and integrate software for containerized and virtualized networking environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
- At least 8 years of hands-on development experience in networking software development.
- Strong proficiency in C, C++, Go, and Python.
- Deep understanding of ASIC pipeline architectures and networking hardware.
- Hands-on experience with Linux OS internals, Debian build and packaging, and the kernel networking stack.
- Experience with RIB, FIB, HAL, and high-availability networking solutions.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and virtual machines is a plus.
- Experience with DPDK, P4, BCM SDK, or other hardware programming interfaces is preferred.
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
- Experience with high-performance, distributed networking systems is preferred.
