Base Salary

$150k - $175k/yr

Responsibilities

Design and develop data-path solutions for L2 and L3 networking technologies, including IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, SR/SRv6, VRF, L3VPN, STP, LLDP, sFlow, LAG, and MLAG.
Architect and implement QoS features such as queueing, classification, policing, shaping, ACL, ECN, and WRED.
Work with BCM XGS and BF Tofino ASIC families and develop software using BCM SDK, P4, and DPDK.
Optimize Linux networking internals, including memory management, the network stack, and hardware abstraction layers.
Develop and maintain high-availability solutions, ISSU, and Linux-based networking systems.
Perform Debian packaging, Linux kernel modifications, and kernel networking stack optimization.
Develop and integrate software for containerized and virtualized networking environments.

Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
At least 8 years of hands-on development experience in networking software development.
Strong proficiency in C, C++, Go, and Python.
Deep understanding of ASIC pipeline architectures and networking hardware.
Hands-on experience with Linux OS internals, Debian build and packaging, and the kernel networking stack.
Experience with RIB, FIB, HAL, and high-availability networking solutions.
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and virtual machines is a plus.
Experience with DPDK, P4, BCM SDK, or other hardware programming interfaces is preferred.
Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
Experience with high-performance, distributed networking systems is preferred.
