Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 4–8 React developers.
- Architect and design scalable, maintainable React applications focused on performance and user experience.
- Drive technical decisions involving frameworks, libraries, state management, build tools, and other front-end tooling.
- Conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and ensure code quality across the team.
- Collaborate with Product and UX teams to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Resolve complex technical challenges, performance bottlenecks, and architectural issues.
- Drive adoption of testing strategies and DevOps principles.
- Evaluate trends and new technologies in the React ecosystem.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with React.js and modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
- 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or senior engineering role.
- Deep expertise in React patterns, hooks, context, and component architecture.
- Strong proficiency with state management solutions such as Redux, Zustand, MobX, or React Query.
- Experience with front-end build tools and bundlers including Webpack, Vite, or esbuild.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and front-end/backend integration.
- Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Preferred: experience with Next.js or other React frameworks for SSR/SSG, micro-frontends and module federation, design systems and component libraries, web accessibility standards, cloud platforms, and containerization.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
